Hur man "virkar runt" på luftmaskor - Crochet around the chain

Ibland kan man få höra/läsa t ex att man ska virka runt på luftmaskor, eller virka på baksidan av luftmaskor, hur sjutton gör man då?

Jo det är inte så svårt egentligen, man ska bara förstå och se det framför sig, vad det är man ska göra. Se bilderna nedan och läs texten under, så har du genast lärt dig nått nytt :)

Sometimes you will read that you should crochet around the chain, or on the back, how the heck do you do that?!

Well, it is not that hard, you should just understand what to do and maybe get a picture of it. Look at the pictures and read the text under it, and all of a sudden, you have tought something new.

Lägg upp luftmaskor och virka tillbaka som vanligt, när du kommer till sista maskan....
Chain the length as usual, turn and single crochet back, and when you reach the last stich...

... så virkar du tre fasta maskor (eller stolpar eller vad du nu virkar), i sista maskan, detta gör att det blir en bra sida, när du har kommit upp en bit.

... then you make three single crochet (or double crochet or whatever you crochet), in that last stich. This makes a nice even side...

Du fortsätter att virka i de hål som uppstår på "baksidan" av luftmaskorna, om du tittar nära kan du se att trådarna korsar varandra och mitt i korset blir det ett lagom hål.

You continue to crochet in the holes that appears on the "back" of the chain, if you look really close you can se that the yarn cross each other and at the center of the cross, it becomes a handy hole.

I sista maskan gör du två fasta maskor, eftersom det redan finns en fast maska i den. Slut varvet med en smygmaska eller fortsätt virka runt med spiralvirkning.

In the last stich you make two single crochet, there are already a single crochet in that stich, join the round with a slip stich or continue crochet in spiral.

Den här starten brukar jag använda på grytlappar och mobilfodral bl a, och man slipper sy ihop och man får lika breda sidor, man slipper också en ful söm på sidan.

This beginning I use to start with when I make potholders or cellphone cozys for instance. You won't have to saw it togheter, you won't have ugly seams, and you will get it even.
